Meet the creator

I'm Natasha, an international student from Bangalore, India. I moved to the city in 2021 to become a graduate student in the MA Fashion Studies program at Parsons School of Design, and I have loved every moment of the whole experience. On the weekends, I love to use the creative studios at school, explore parks around the city, and eat authentic food in the different boroughs of New York with my friends.

My Brooklyn Weekend Go-To’s

An 85-acre public park along the Brooklyn side of the East River, this scenic green space offers sweeping vistas of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges.
City Point, near downtown Brooklyn, is a bustling destination with 40+ food vendors including NYC staples like Katz’s and new restaurants offering a range of cuisines for takeout or eating at communal tables. (And there’s a Trader Joe’s!)
The main branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, near Grand Army Plaza, houses over a million books and materials as well as ample reading space.
This scenic pedestrian pathway on the edge of Brooklyn Heights is called the Esplanade. It’s perched over the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and offers dramatic Manhattan skyline views.
Originally built in 1922, this historic—and now lovingly restored—carousel is situated in Brooklyn Bridge Park in the DUMBO neighborhood. It features 48 colorfully painted wooden horses for children of all ages to enjoy.
St. Ann’s Warehouse is one of NYC’s most celebrated performing arts venue for music and theater. It’s located in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood in what was once a spice milling factory.
